Executive Greeting
Greetings,
Well, 2020 has certainly been a year like no other. Many of us are looking forward to finishing the year and enjoying some time away. Then we will begin a fresh new year and a productive 2021. We hope you will share the same.
Our annual Fall Conference was a success. We have received many compliments and much appreciation for the quality presentations offered. The virtual presentations were well done with each of our speakers making special efforts to prepare and practice for their appearance. We appreciate their efforts and professionalism that create a successful conference. With over 20 hours of CE credits to select, the conference upheld our tradition of providing quality education programs for IPA members.
Our virtual relationships have certainly developed this year. Telehealth has become the norm and has likely become a permanent part of our profession. IPA will continue in 2021 to be a resource for evolving telehealth regulation. Changes are continuous within each state as well as ongoing updates in federal rules. We will attempt to keep members updated on these changes.
We look forward to 2021. Our membership continues to grow. IPA leadership continues to evolve as it does each year. Psychology is in demand in Indiana. We have outstanding membership. We have good reasons to look forward to 2021.
We wish you all the absolute best.
Your Executive Committee

IPA will continue to monitor these orders and changes as the year develops. If you have specific emergency order questions for Indiana or other states, please contact Dick Rhoad at execdirector@indianapsychology.org.
New from IPA – Ethics Consultation Service
IPA is pleased to announce a new consultation service. Ethics Consultation Service, ECS, will become active beginning in January. Dr. Shannon Woller chairs this service along with ten other IPA volunteer members. Dr. Woller also presented at the Fall Conference outlining the process and methods to be applied to consultation requests. She described the purpose as to offer a resource that improves the quality of the practice of psychology by helping members identify, analyze, and resolve ethical questions or dilemmas and providing continuing education experiences.
Dr. Woller continues, ECS seeks to promote practices consistent with ethical norms and standards and assist individuals and institutions in handling current and future ethical concerns by providing education, informing policy development, and assisting in quality improvements.
The ECS has committed to following the National Center for Ethics in Health Care’s model of ethics consultation by using the CASES approach. The 5 steps of the CASES approach will be utilized to respond to all consultation requests. This service does not provide legal advice, any advice on malpractice, or comments on licensing board complaints.
Please watch for the announcement of this new service from IPA.
