Position: Two-Year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Clinical Child/School Psychology withan emphasis on autism and neurodevelopmental disabilities. Salary is commensuratewith National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellowships.
Description: The LDEC and the School Psychology Program, both housed in the IUBloomington School of Education, are accepting applications for a PostdoctoralFellowship in Clinical/School Psychology with an emphasis on autism andneurodevelopmental disabilities. The fellowship offers a unique balance ofclinical and academic experience, with 50% clinical service and 50%teaching responsibilities. The position provides rich opportunities forprofessional growth within a collaborative academic and clinical communitydedicated to excellence in clinical training, applied research, and service.
Clinical Responsibilities
LDEC provides comprehensive evaluations for autism and relatedneurodevelopmental disabilities—including ADHD, intellectual developmentaldisability, and learning disabilities—as well as behavioral and psychosocialconcerns for children and young adults (ages 2–29). LDEC clinicians alsoconduct evaluations for IU students seeking classroom accommodations throughAccessible Educational Services (AES) and perform Independent EducationalEvaluations (IEEs) for families and school districts in need of outside psychoeducationalassessments for special education eligibility. Within this environment, the postdoctoral fellow clinicalresponsibilities will include:
·Conducting comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations
·Supervising advanced school, clinical, and/or counseling psychologypracticum students
·Participating in clinic-related research and conducting interventions
Teaching Responsibilities
Courses taught may be at the graduate level (PhD and EdS in SchoolPsychology) or the undergraduate level within the rapidly growing Child and AdolescentMental Health Track (CASS) of the Counseling and Student Services minor, which is associated withthe School Psychology Programs. The School Psychology Programs, housed withinthe Department of Applied Psychology inEducation and Research Methodology, are APA-accredited and NASP-approved. Teaching responsibilities will include:
·Serving as the instructor of record for three courses per year. Specificcourses taught will be determined by the fellow’s expertise and Program needs
·Supervising graduate student associate instructors teaching undergraduatecourses in the School of Education depending on teacher experience and interest
