As we end this year 2025, we reflect upon the success your professional association has had this year. We met our objectives for quality hours of continuing education, we represented our profession at the Statehouse, our membership continues to grow, our confidential ethics consultation service had more consults than ever, and we enjoyed hosting our Book Club discussions.
A big "Thank You" to all those members who volunteer their time and expertise to IPA. Your time, as well as your wisdom, are certainly appreciated. I know we do not show our appreciation as often as we should. So, again, "Thank you!"
Given it’s the season for connection and giving, I’d like to mention there are numerous opportunities for members to participate in IPA activities. Members can participate in government affairs or with the CE, Student Affairs, Diversity, and Ethics committees. These opportunities all have reasonable time commitments even for busy psychologists. If you have an interest in learning more about opportunities, please message info@indianapsychology.org. Your participation is a benefit to our profession, and I believe you will find your own personal satisfaction from participating.
We are currently processing our annual IPA membership renewals. We appreciate each one of you and work hard to make your membership worthwhile. Our major focus for you continues to include continuing education, governmental representation, and communications with fellow psychologists.
It is a good time to invite your psychologist colleagues to also become members of IPA, so they too can realize the benefits of IPA.
It has been my pleasure to serve as your President for the past year. Coordinating and meeting such committed members has been a personal reward for me. I look forward to next year with Emily Roth serving as our President and I will assist where I can as Past President.
As I have recommended to you each month in my President’s Greeting, let me say one last time. . .
“With your busy schedules and multiple commitments, remember to take good care of yourself, too”.
Be well, Shannon
