Legislative Update
Our PSYPACT interstate compact for psychology legislation will unfortunately not occur for this year. We will continue to support this important capability and prepare for the next legislative opportunity. Meanwhile there is good legislation proceeding on expanding telehealth capabilities in Indiana. Since the legislature will adjourn next week, we will have a full understanding of any bills affecting psychology in next month’s report.
New from IPA – Continuing Education Homestudy Programs
IPA is pleased to announce the launch of its Continuing Education (CE) Homestudy programs. These programs offer Category I CE for watching IPA recorded webinars and passing a short exam. This offering will enable more psychologists and eligible professionals to benefit from the rich CE programming that IPA has offered. IPA will continue to archive recordings and develop exams for future CE programs as well.
19 programs are available now! Please see the Continuing Education>CE Homestudy Programs page for more information and to access the most up-to-date list of homestudy offerings.
Note that if you registered for the 2020 IPA Fall Conference, you can complete any homestudy program for those sessions that you did not attend virtually for free! See email or contact Connie Vore for discount code and details.
Please contact Connie Vore at admin@indianapsychology.org if you have any questions.

IPA wants to welcome Dr. Tynessa Franks as a new member. Dr. Franks received her Ph.D. at the University of Virginia, and her career has included work in Primary Care and Mental Health Integration and Compensation and Pension at VA Medical Centers in Atlanta, GA and Orlando, FL. She has also worked in private practice and taught college psychology courses at various colleges and universities.
Since moving to Indianapolis in late 2019, she has focused on parenting two young sons but is now re-emerging into the professional world. When asked what else she would like the membership to know about her, Dr. Franks responded, “Between maternity leave and the ongoing quarantine, I still feel very new to Indianapolis and look forward to building connections with my psychologist colleagues in Indiana!”
We all look forward to building connections with Dr. Tynessa Franks.
